About the beta

A careful first check, not a final verdict.

Recall Groceries helps turn a messy receipt or cart photo into a product list you can compare with official notices.

How it works

A vision model reads visible product information from your photo. You correct the list and add package identifiers when available. Deterministic software—not AI—then searches our index of FDA and USDA FSIS notices.

Why you confirm the products

Receipts often abbreviate names, while cart photos hide UPCs, lot codes, and best-by dates. Those details are frequently what separates an affected package from an unaffected one.

Independent and anonymous

This public beta is not affiliated with the FDA, USDA, a grocery store, or a food manufacturer. It does not require an account and does not keep your photo.
